Michael Shafran is our Senior Pastor. He graduated with his Master of Divinity from Capital Bible Seminary and earned his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before coming to Mount Moriah, he served as a pastor in Baltimore, Maryland for 8 1/2 years and served on the leadership team for Baltimore Baptist Association. He is passionate about adoption and serves on the affiliate board for America World Adoption. He is the husband of Julie and father of Michael, Anna, Will, and Emma. When not studying, he enjoys just being with his family, good coffee, traveling, fishing, hunting, and watching Pittsburgh Steeler football.
