Pastor Bruce Short grew up in Mt. Ida, AR. He attended Arkansas Tech University, graduating in 1973 with a B.S. in Biology. While in college he married Jeanne Beth Roberts who has been his bride for 47 years. Bruce has been pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Nashville, AR for 25 years. He loves verse by verse preaching of God’s Word, emphasizing the truths of scripture contained in the Bible. He not only has a passion for pastoring the flock at Maranatha, but ministers as well within the walls of our local jail systems. He desires to see men become Godly men, and be the leaders, priests, protectors, and bearers of light for their family in a dark and declining culture.
