Maranatha Baptist Church

We are a community of Christians who's purpose it is to glorify God, exalt Christ, humble man.

Our Pastor, Bruce Short grew up in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. He attended Arkansas Tech University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1973. While in college, he married Jeanne Beth Roberts who has been his bride for 47 years.

Bruce served 4 years in the United States Army.

He and Jeanne owned NAPA Auto Parts Stores in Murfreesboro, Delight and Amity until he was called into the ministry in 1990.

Bruce also has 42 hours of seminary education form Southwestern Seminary and has taught God’s Word in Brazil, Mexico, Kenya and Tanzania.

In 1990 Bruce became pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Mineral Springs where he preached until May of 1993.
After resigning that pastorate Bruce and Jeanne became involved in a home Bible study that became Maranatha Baptist Church.

Pastor Bruce and Jeanne have 2 daughters, Karrie Jamison of Nashville and Molly Lindow of Benton.
Two wonderful sons-in-laws John Jamison and Lance Lindow and 9 beautiful grandchildren.
