Living in God's Economy
34 Sermons

I considered naming this series “The Joy of Money.” A bit bold, I grant you, but money is one of God’s good gifts, we are commanded to be “cheerful” givers of money, and we are to “count it all joy when you fall into various trials,” and money trials are some of the most “joyful.”

But as I researched money in the Bible, it led to one topic, then another, and so on. The series grew (to nearly 40 topics) and broadened beyond the confines of just currency. So, I decided to call the series, “Living in God’s Economy.”

What does that mean?

The key word is “economy.” Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines it this way: “Primarily, the management, regulation and government of a family or the concerns of a household.”

Which leads to this definition: “God’s Economy” – the biblical principles that govern, mold, and motivate our use of the resources that God gives us: time, talent, creativity and money to serve in His kingdom.

We will cover nearly 40 topics in seven categories.
