Dr. William Edgar

William Edgar (Honors B.A., Harvard University; M.Div., Westminster Theological Seminary; D.Th., Université de Genève) is Professor of Apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, where he has taught for over twenty years. He is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America. He directs the gospel-jazz band Renewal. He was previously Professeur dApologétique at La Faculté Libre de Théologie Réformée, Aix-en-Provence, where he is currently Professeur Associé. Dr. Edgars scholarly interests include apologetics, theology, music aesthetics, and ethics. He belongs to several learned societies, including the American Musicological Society and the society for Ethnomusicology. He is head of the Arts Network for the European Leadership Forum. He sits on a number of boards, including the Huguenot Fellowship, the Institutional Review Board of Chestnut Hill Hospital, and Schloss Mittersil. His wife, Barbara, and he, have two children and three grandchildren.
