Bill James has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University, and worked for Glaxo Pharmaceuticals in the UK before studying at Toronto Baptist Seminary (1988-1991). Since graduating from TBS, Bill has been pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Church in Leamington Spa, England.

Bill regularly visits Eastern Europe to train young church leaders, and chairs the organizing committee for the Carey Ministers' Conference in the UK. He is married to Sharon, and they have two teenage children, Peter and Lydia.
