Steven Lyon is the founding pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, which began in 1992 as a church plant effort of Bible Baptist Church of West Chester. He was saved at the ago of 17 while still in high school. He is a 1981 graduate of East High School (West Chester). After two years of study at Penn State University, he transferred to Bible School. He is a 1988 graduate of Bible Baptist School of Theology, West Chester, Pennsylvania. He has served in leadership positions with the Pennsylvania Baptists for Life & Families (Chairman), the American Council of Christian Churches (Executive Council) and currently serves on the Council of Ten for the Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches. He also supports the Independent Baptist Fellowship of North America. He married Mary Katherine Tomkiewicz in 1986 and they have four children: Gabrielle, Brigette, Garrett & Benjamin.
