Jim Aydelotte, Pastor of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, is originally from northwest Indiana. He was born in Gary, IN and raised in the Crown Point, IN area. While there, Jim earned his ASEE from Valparaiso Tech and was an active member of the scientific community for 22 years working as a magnetic, mechanical, and electronical engineer, until answering the call to the ministry in 2006.

Jim was saved in March of 1993 at the age of 29 - five months before he was married to Kathy. Since that time, Jim's desire has been to pursue living a life that would bring honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jim began his study of God's Word under the discipleship of his home church pastor, Ron Lewis. Over several years, Jim served as deacon, and then was ordained as an teaching elder in his home church, Faith Bible Church of Warren, PA.

Since then, and over the past several years, convicted of the battle for the truth that is raging, Jim began to research the evidences of our origins. Studying and researching the data, brought him to the point in his life of being convicted to share the knowledge of his extensive studies. This has led him to be in the first of a class of students who attended the inaugural "Creation College" presented by Answers in Genesis, and Jim enjoys giving Creation vs. Evolution seminars to any and all who invite him.

Jim and his wife Kathy have 3 adult children, and enjoys spending time traveling, fishing, hunting, hiking, reading, and of course, preaching the pure grace of the Word of God!
