Converted at the age of ten, and after an apprenticeship and work as a panel beater, Rev. Millar began his studies at Glasgow Bible Training Institute before becoming a full-time Pastor at Glasgow City Mission. Several years later, in 1996, Rev. Millar graduated from Aberdeen University with a B.D. (Hons) before further study and Pastoring two Independent Reformed Churches in Aberdeenshire. Mr. Millar and his wife now reside in Ayr and are members in the Free Church (Continuing).
