Charles John Brown (1806-1884) was a prominent minister in the Church of Scotland and Free Church of Scotland before, during, and after the Disruption of 1843 in Scotland. He was a devout Christian, a gifted preacher, and a beloved pastor, first in Glasgow (1831-1837) and subsequently in Edinburgh (1837-1884).
