Alan Hager

Alan is an ordained minister called by the New River Presbytery to plant Grace Church in Buckhannon, WV. After 25 years of pastoral ministry in Virginia, he and his wife, Katherine, came to Buckhannon in the summer of 2019 to join six families as the core of Grace Church.

Alan is a graduate of Grove City College in Grove City, PA. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ, and he earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He has worked with Young Life, campus ministry, and various church staff positions in his career.

Alan and Katherine have an adult daughter, Kristen, and four grandchildren. They enjoy the beauty and recreation life of West Virginia especially biking, skiing, and kayaking. A Bible verse that reflects Alan’s focus in life is Isaiah 66:2: “This is the one to whom I will look, he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at My Word.”
