Jack Farmer

Dr. Jack Farmer has been the Head of School at Berean Baptist Academy since the 2014-2015 school year.

Dr. Farmer has served BBA in numerous roles since he first entered the classroom in the 2002-2003 academic year. He has served as a classroom teacher for Bible, History, and various other subjects as needed. He has coached, served as a principal, and IT systems support.

Dr. Farmer currently teaches an adult Sunday school class for Berean Baptist Church and, as an ordained minister, fulfills various pastoral duties in support of the pastoral staff. Additionally, he has served Berean Baptist Church as an interim Youth Pastor for one year and the Singles' Pastor for several years.

Before joining BBA, Dr. Farmer served as the Assistant Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Baumholder, Germany for three years. He also served as the Youth Pastor for Union Grove Baptist Church of Salemburg, North Carolina for three years, while serving BBA as a classroom teacher.

Dr. Farmer also served as an Operations Sergeant, Infantry Squad Leader, Infantry Bradley Fighting Vehicle (IBFV) Commander, IBFV Gunner, Platoon Master Gunner, Communications and Electronics Section Chief, and as an Air Traffic Control Radar Systems Repair Technician in the United States Army from 1989 until 2002, when he was medically discharged for injuries suffered in the line of duty.

Dr. Farmer conducted his doctoral research on the challenges of poverty, single-parent homes, ethnic disparity, and the best practices for supporting at-risk students entering private schools through the various state voucher programs.
