Pastor Mark Stewart was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in a Christian home where the priority was to worship and serve Jesus Christ. He attended Mid-America Reformed Seminary in Dyer, IN, graduating with his M.Div. and later received an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA. Pastor Stewart served a number of internships during his studies and was first ordained in the Newton United Reformed Church in Newton, NJ, where he served from 2000-2010. He has served as pastor of the Burlington URC since October 2011. On top of his love for preaching and pastoring, he enjoys being with his wife (Christy), his four daughters, as well as soccer, tennis, reading, analyzing films, and making pizza.
