Pastor Dave is a 1984 graduate of Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, VA. He has also done some Master's work through Liberty & Bethany Divinity Seminary of Dothan AL, and has received training in the "Freedom in Christ" Satellite Ministry of Dr. Neil T. Anderson. He has supported his family between youth ministry in Lebanon, VA (84-86) and 2 church plants (Ohio & PA), mostly through his own private contracting business, through which he also has been able to lead folks to the Lord Jesus. He and Linda have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren to date. God has been good!

Pastor Dave never saw himself as called to be a pastor. But he has had the privilege of planting and pastoring 2 independent Baptist churches. The first is Slate Belt Baptist Church in Wind Gap, PA, established in 1990 and located between Allentown & the Pocono Mt. areas. He planted and pastored this church until 1999. It started as he worked in the area as a self employed contractor. God touched his heart as he saw the Slate Belt area as being very isolated, having nearly no Biblical witness. In 2002, he and his wife Linda (Miller), who he met at Liberty, stepped out again in the city of Ontario, OH, where he grew up. Here, Faith Baptist Church was born. Much of the motivation for starting this church was in response to the 9/11 attacks. He felt he could not stand by and let this generation pass without doing what he could for the Kingdom of God.
