Darien is married to Vanessa and they have one son, Benjamin, who is 6 years old.
Darien was a drug-addict and a drug dealer for 12 years, prior to a dramatic encounter with God that empowered him to break free from the chains of addiction that had held him for so long and became a Christian not long after, in 1996 Darien went to Africa for the first time, on a short-term mission trip in 2001.
