Tyler was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama before attending the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) to study philosophy (B.A) and then Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary for more advanced theological study (M.Div). He is married to his beautiful wife, Shanti, and is father to Will and Callie. Tyler was adopted, has an identical twin who is also a pastor and enjoys reading, board games, watching football, playing golf and "hanging out."
