Dr. Pearson Johnson currently serves as the Director of Academics and Mentoring and Professor of Practical Theology at Bob Jones Seminary. Prior to his work at BJU, he served for nearly 20 years as a Pastor of Missions, Evangelism and Discipleship and Director of Grace Baptist Mission at Inter-City Baptist Church in the Detroit, Michigan area. Pearson has a love for pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, missions, discipleship, and a desire to mentor students. Pearson has a B.S. in Mathematics and an MDiv from BJU, a ThM from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and a DMin from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Amy, who works at BJ Seminary and directs the Seminary Wives Fellowship. Pearson and Amy have two children: Grace and Pearson IV.
