Charlie was born in Washington DC to an Army family. As an adult he served over 30 years on active duty in Infantry or Special Forces assignments and came to Christ thanks to witnesses encountered during that service. He was ordained as an elder in the PCA, while at Trinity Church Central Oahu prior to retirement, and is currently serving on the board of Trinity Center for World Missions, a newly established mission organization. Today he is on the faculty of Fayetteville Technical Community College where he teaches English.
