Originally from the Oklahoma City area, Paul D Brown was blessed to grow up in a Christian home under the preaching and teaching of his father, Paul Brown Sr. ( the current pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church in Newcastle, Oklahoma). When he was just six years old the Lord impressed upon Bro. Paul that he was a sinner and revealed the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to him. Beginning in his late teens, Paul began to teach Sunday School to young children and later held the position youth leader at Sherwood for six years. During this time, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and married his wife, Jacquelyn. They have since started a family together, which now includes their four children.

Sherwood Baptist Church ordained Bro. Paul to the ministry in 2006. Following his ordination he continued serving the Lord as as an associate pastor under his father. Paul later moved to Sacramento, CA where he served as associate pastor to Bro. Bill Brown, pastor of Carmichael Baptist Church. In Feburuary 2009, he felt led by the Lord to accept the position of Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Independence, Kentucky. It has been his greatest joy to be in the ministry and his whole-hearted prayer is that God would use him and his family to greatly bless his church and a herald of the gospel throughout Northern Kentucky.
