Marion Price Sr.

Marion Price Sr. Is the son of a minister (Gordon Price). Brother Gordon was a Southern Baptist pastor in the south. He was known for standing strong against modernism and liberalism, which was growing in the SBC in the 1960's. In spite of his Christian home, Brother Marion was not saved until he was 26 years old, after he had left for military service.

Later, Marion was called to preach, and pastored five small Baptist churches. However, his burden was missionary work, which took him places like Moscow and Riga, Latvia while working with Russian Bible Society of Asheville, NC. In 1999 he had an opportunity to preach in Africa, and he found his greatest calling; helping to promote the gospel, and help establish churches in Malawi, Africa. Since then, he has been to Africa 13 times, and preached in Mozambique, Malawi and South Africa. God has used him there.

In spite of some health problems, at 73 years old, he says he plans to return to Africa for a crusade this year. He is a real warrior for Christ, and we love him at our church, where he attends when home.
