Pastor, Duncan accepted the call to Preach on October 26th, 1988 and professed his calling at his home church Bethel Freewill Baptist church Marion, NC. Brother, R.J. Reynolds was the pastor at this time. The Lord used Brother Duncan as God began to open doors for him to Preach the Word of God. In December 1993 The Lord impressed upon his heart to begin a work for the Lord. So on December 26th 1993, Going Home Freewill Baptist Church was organized with 18 people joining on that first service. Through the years the Lord has Blessed the Church and the work God has privileged and entrusted into his hands and heart. Pastor, Duncan Preaches in Revivals, Campmeetings, Youth Camps, Youth Meetings, Youth Revivals, Christian Schools and wherever that God leads him. The Church hosts an Annual Campmeeting "Preaching in the Foothills" every August, with area churches and choirs participating in the services. We have morning services at 10am, Lunch around 12 noon, and a Evening service at 7pm. There has been as many as around 19 preachers or pastors from North and South Carolina and Tennessee Preaching in these campmeetings.
