Ichabod Spencer

Ichabod Spencer (1797-1854) was converted to Christ shortly after the sudden death of his beloved father. He was called into the ministry and served faithfully in Northampton, MA, in the church made famous by Jonathan Edwards, and then in the Second Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, NY. He is most famous for the two volumes of his Pastor's Sketches which were published in 1851 and 1853. These volumes became instant best-sellers in the USA, the UK and all over the world. They have been recently reprinted by Solid Ground Christian Books.
