Gerard was born in London and was raised a Roman Catholic. He was saved at the age of 17. He graduated from university with a degree in Biology and taught the subject for a number of years. Since 1992 he has pastored the church which meets at Amyand Park Chapel, Twickenham in south-west London. Gerard is married to Mandy and they have 4 grown up children. His interests include cricket, mountain walking and current affairs. He has spoken at regularly at conferences in the UK and in Europe, Asia and Africa.
