Jason Ormiston

After participating for over 11 years in urban church planting in the midwest, Jason and his wife Heather moved their 4 children to Greenville, South Carolina with a desire to train men and women at Bob Jones University for multi-ethnic ministry. Jason and Heather were blessed with their fifth child in January 2010. Once adjusted to his new role as a professor at BJU, Cornerstone Baptist Church extended a call to Jason to serve on staff as pastor of outreach and discipleship beginning January 2008. Jason’s heart continued to grow for Church Planting when he accepted the call to start Palmetto Baptist Church.

His educational background includes a B.A. in Pastoral Studies, Northland Baptist Bible College; M.A. in Biblical Studies, Central Baptist Theological Seminary; an M.Div., Central Baptist Theological Seminary; and a Doctor of Ministries in Urban Missions from Westminster Theological Seminary.

His previous work and ministry experience includes a youth/assistant pastor for 9 years, senior pastor for 2 years, and an adjunct professor at Central Baptist Theological Seminary and Northland Baptist Bible College.
