John Shaw studied politics and economics at Geneva College and then pursued a successful career in politics and government before attending Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh. He is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, serving as pastor of Mission Orthodox Presbyterian Church in urban St. Paul, MN. He and his wife Anne have four young children.
