Our Pastor and Teaching Elder is Rev Knox Hyndman, B.A. A native of Belfast, Mr Hyndman obtained a degree in Modern History at the Queens University Belfast, his theological training at the Theological College of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland (RPCI), also in Belfast, and at the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA), Pittsburgh Pa. USA.

He was first ordained as a minister of the gospel in 1969, and was at the same time installed as pastor in the congregation of Ballyclare Reformed Presbyterian Church, Co Antrim, where he ministered for 16 years. He has been Pastor in Newtownards congregation since1985.

As well as his responsibilities within our congregation Mr Hyndman also lectures in Church History at the Reformed Theological College, Belfast. He is married to Edith; they have three children - Conor, Charlotte and Hannah.
