Pastor Gerald S. Taylor

Pastor Gerald Taylor was born in 1948 near the rural town of Westmister, MD. about 30 miles northwest of Baltimore. The Lord brought him to faith at the age of 20, as he was beginning his senior year of college. Upon graduation from Frostburg State University, Frostburg, MD. he spent three years seeking the Lord's will regarding the call to the ministry. In 1973 he began attending Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadephia, PA., earning a Masters in Divinity in 1976.

He was ordained a teaching elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in 1978 and has pastored three churches in that denomination; Winner, SD., Austin, TX. and Bowie, MD. He is currently the moderator of the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic OPC) and has been elected by his peers to serve six consecutive 3 year terms on the OPC Committee of Home Missions. He has been married for 32 years to his wife and helper, Paula, having three children.
