After having served twenty-four years as an assistant pastor in many capacities, Dr. Sweatt started Berean Baptist Church in suburban Atlanta in 1990. He has led the church through three building programs and several renovations. Berean Baptist Church today has a vibrant and growing ministry, impacting greater Atlanta and the world through its extensive missions program. Dr. Sweatt, while remaining at Berean as its senior pastor, has a full schedule of speaking opportunities at conferences in the US and around the world.
