Jerry Bridges is a well-known Christian writer and conference speaker. His best known book, The Pursuit of Holiness, has sold well over a million copies. Jerry’s published books have sold over 2.5 million copies, and one or more of them has been translated and published in 16 different foreign languages. His books include: The Practice of Godliness, Transforming Grace, Trusting God Even When Life Hurts, The Discipline of Grace, The Joy of Fearing God, The Chase, The Gospel for Real Life, Growing Your Faith: How to Mature in Christ, and Respectable Sins. He has also contributed a variety of articles to a number of magazines and journals.
In addition to his writing ministry, Jerry also serves from time to time as a guest lecturer at several seminaries, numerous conferences, and retreats in the U.S. and overseas. He has been on the staff of The Navigators since 1955 and currently serves as a resource person to The Navigators University Students Ministry in the United States.
Jerry and his wife, Jane, live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They have married children and five grandchildren.
