Overcoming Temptation

In this expository sermon Dr. Felker shares how Jesus was victorious over three powerful temptations from Satan. He shares how Satan looks for opportunities to bring temptation into our lives and often appeals to the desire for instant gratification. Jesus shows that learning and memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to overcome temptation. By following the example of Christ and trusting in him we can have victory over temptation and enjoy the benefits of that victory: Satan will leave you for a season and God will minister to your needs. The temptation narrative also demonstrates that Christ is indeed the sinless son of God, the true sacrifice for sin.
