The Parable of the Soils

The Parables of the Soils set forth the definitive truth of the Kingdom of God. A proper understanding of this parable is therefore critical. Is it Lordship or free grace? Is it behavioral repentance or cognitive repentance? Jesus teaches the importance of our choice and that therefore there is a deliberate challenge in the Kingdom and a caution in the kingdom; and that also there will be a continuation of the kingdom and, at times, experiential crisis in the kingdom. By chapter's end, He drives home what real faith looks like.
