Don't Grow Weary in Following the Good Example 2

This passage of Scripture is given to protect the church from those who claim to know the Lord, but who live in disobedience. Verse 6, covered on March 22, gave instruction to the saints to keep away from unruly brothers, verses 7-13 call the faithful follower of Christ to imitate the godly example of those who have gone before them. The Christian, like his God, like his Savior, and like the Apostles before them are those whose lives are to be characterized by giving and not as those who merely take.
