Remember Lot's Wife

Looking at the verse "Remember Lot's Wife" in regard to the Second Coming.

Lighthouses are warning lights to save ships from peril - Lot's wife is a warning of the danger of dying without the Lord Jesus Christ.

We must look at the context of Scripture and the context here is the Second Coming.

1. SPLENDOUR OF HIS COMING
   v24 "as the lightning" - how does it come ? with splendour ! It lights up the whole sky - Christ came the first time to save but will come the second time in Glory !

2. SUDDENNESS OF HIS COMING

A flash of lightning comes suddenly.
Matt 24:44 - "in such an hour as ye think not..."

1st Cor 15:52 "... a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,"

3. SEPARATION OF HIS COMING
   v 35 "one shall be taken, and the other left.

Will you be left behind ?

4. SIGNS OF HIS COMING
   Pestilences, diseases, earthquakes...

Luke 17:26 " Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; "

They were caught up in the things of this world. The angels dragged Lot's wife out of Sodom, but her heart was still there. Same spirit prevails today.

These are days of prosperity, but little true happiness or peace.

Lot's wife is a warning to us. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming again - in splendour ! suddenly ! there will be separation ! the signs of His coming are all around us.

Are you ready for His Coming ? Or are you clinging to the things of the world and cannot let go ?
