The connection in Luke to Isaiah shows us a profound connection between the Old and New Testaments. Some in our day would like to deny this connection (see "News Item" above). But the Lord Jesus is referred to the Savior, salvation and the glory of God! This exaltation of our Lord is just one more example of what a full-bodied appreciation of Scripture can afford us (Romans 10:17).
