Fear Not the Future

Theme: Jesus prophesied the destruction of the Temple and gave warnings and instructions to His followers.
In vv. 5-6, Jesus addresses the people's attention to the temple and predicts its future destruction. In application, we see that God dwells with His people, and because of our salvation through Christ, we, His children, are now the temple of God. In vv. 7-9, in response to the people's questions, Jesus gives instructions and warnings about how to live and endure in this world. In application, we need to walk with the true Christ, beware of novel theology, and fear God, not the world.
