Fear the Lord, stand in awe of him; for his judgements are in all the earth! Part 2/4

196

Gavin says, "This King Charles Martyr's Day sermon on Wednesday 30 January 2019, … is a 4 part sermon … . This Part 2 ... will subdivide into 1stly, some general comments on the gospel of Jesus Christ with special reference to the sacrament of Communion as found in The Communion Service of the Anglican 1662 Book of Common Prayer;" e.g., "the importance of the authority of Holy Scripture … is manifested in the fact … Communion … start[s] with a Bible reading … a prayer in … The Lord's Prayer … . After this the Minister turns from facing eastwards [sic. facing southwards in a church facing eastwards] at the north side of the Communion Table, & facing the people reads The Ten Commandments", & "2ndly, some principles with examples of God's judgements in the earth which together with Part 3, will be relevant as background to Part 4 … & in Parts 2, 3, & 4 this will largely be done with reference to the example of unworthy communicants of the Lord's Supper. Here in Part 2 this shall first be done with a case study of Judas Iscariot …; then following a break, in Part 3 with a case study of a sodomite & sometime Minister of the homosexual haunt of the Metropolitan Community Church." "And there's another important general comment … . And that is that this holy sacrament is a symbol of the gospel that conveys important gospel truths, for the bread & wine symbolize the body & blood of Christ in sacrificial atonement for those who have faith in Christ alone. And so … there will be some general comments on this glorious gospel of Jesus Christ with special reference to the symbolism of the sacrament ... as found in The Communion Service of the Anglican 1662 Book of Common Prayer."
