The Reformed Understanding of Sin

At creation, God created Adam and Eve as good, but through disobeying God's command they became spiritually dead. Thus leading to the Total Depravity of the human race. We therefore, without God's intervention are unable to believe or repent, despite conscience towards salvation. This essential truth is easy to misunderstand. We may accept that all non-Christians are not the Devil incarnate, but all are cast upon the grace of God, and thanks be to Him that through His mercy we may be saved, have our sins forgiven, and be made right with our creator.
