Why You Must Forgive

Why must you forgive? The Lord teaches His people that they must forgive, because they have been forgiven. Consider that the debt of our sin against a Holy God is so infinitely great that only God Himself could satisfy that debt, and He has done so through Christ our Lord! How then can we, who are forgiven so much, not forgive those who sin against us? Those who know such mercy will surely show mercy towards those whose offenses are so small in comparison.
