Proving a Point by Flirting with Madness

Solomon tests his thesis by examining with his great wisdom those things with which men are often enamored. He starts by examining the value of wisdom and then he moves to more sensual pleasures. In the end, he reasserts that all is vanity because everything is to be left to another. This conclusion actually then leads him back to the simplicity of God's prescription for contentment.
