The Reason We Sing

Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:18)

Be filled with the Spirit → by letting the word of Christ dwell in you richly (Eph. 5:18 and Col. 3:16)

Singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart (Eph. 5:19; see also Col. 3:16)

Addressing, teaching, and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19 and Col. 3:16)

Giving thanks always and for everything (Eph. 5:20 and Col. 3:17)
