Satan Bound and Beaten

Revelation 20:1-10 shows us three scenes - the scene on earth, the scene in heaven and the scene at the end of time. Verses 1-3 shows us what is happening on earth during the church age.

1. The Significance of the Binding - Satan is bound and by this the Bible means that his power and influence is so curtailed that he is unable to prevent the growth of the church and unable to deceive the nations as he had in the the Old Covenant era
2. The Timing of the Binding - this binding is effective during the church age, which the passage describes in symbolical terms as a millennium
3. The Implications of the Binding are that we should be thankful, hopeful, worshipful, watchful and full of anticipation of the end.
