Adam as a Type of Christ Part 4

The 6th of 10 ways in which Adam was a type of Christ seen in his headship. Adam's role as head of the family was not and is not a role of dominance. Rather, it is a role of responsibility and protection. It means identity, order and love. The woman was taken from his rib - the closest proximity to the heart. He is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. Also, we look at the 7th way Adam was a type of Christ by Satan's temptation. The goal of the serpent was to rob God of His glory by questioning His Word, by adding to God's Word and denying God's Word. The serpent challenged Adam, as he did Christ, physically, psychologically, and religously.
