The Church Holds The Keys

Keys are used to unlock or lock doors, to open or to close, to permit entrance or to forbid entrance. Keys are used to loose or to bind. Keys have been given to the Church to open the way to heaven through Jesus Christ to penitent sinners, or to put the impenitent sinner out of the Church. The goal in discipline is to reclaim the brother or sister who has strayed from the Lord. This weighty task has been entrusted to the Church by our Lord.
