Blessed Are The Merciful

"I'm a Christian!", said with emphatic resolution, does not make one a Christian, nor do feelings of being a Christian mean one is necessarily a Christian. The Beatitudes are more than mere inward attitudes of the heart, but also describe the the way in which a Christian interacts with the World around him. Those who have truly experienced the mercy of God in Jesus Christ are also merciful to those around them.
