He is no doubt most well-known in our Day because of his outstandingly practical Commentary, but that in the but 51 years of his life God used him in preaching, and other ways, to be of considerable benefit to the congregations under his care there can be little doubt.

By and large he has been neglected by most Church Historians, so we are indebted to Dr. Nick Needham, who once again, in stimulating style, assists us to learn something of the usefulness of this Man of God in his own day, but through his writings, principally his Commentary, is of great help to us today!
