The Apostle Paul has written the letter to Titus for the sake of the Church, that they may live godly lives in the midst of a crooked and perverse culture. In these opening verses he establishes his right to write to them...He is both a bondservant of the Lord and an Apostle who brings, as God's slave, and as a messenger of Jesus Christ, the Words that are necessary for us to hear that our faith might be strengthened. He also imparts knowledge which will help transform into the image of Christ until they reach their heavenly home!
