      Great Sermon!
I have been listening to Pastor Tom since I was 15 or so when his sermons were on the Family Radio program called "Echoes". I am so thankful God's message has stayed the same throughout his ministry. God does not change nor does what he requires of us as his children. I haven't seen any new sermons from him here. Has something happened to him? Please advise. Thank you. Sincerely, Rosemary

      There is more to know!
Wonderful sermon and he sounds like a wonderful man. He said all that there is to know about the Father can be known by seeing what the scriptures say about Christ. After all, I'll add, the Son of God IS the Word of God (John 1). But, there's more, much more. "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. (John 16:12, 13 ESV)Pray that the Spirit of God will reveal the deep things of God to you. For we have been given this Spirit and we have the mind of Christ, but it is for the mature (1 Cor 2). Humble yourselves, therefore, and diligently seek Him, for He desires to be sought and will reward such as these.

      I Appreciate This Message
Thank you, Pastor Smith! I am currently listening my way through this series and this first message is excellent! I have a burden for the lost and much of today's instruction in evangelism doesn't get close to the certain and sure salvation we have in Jesus Christ in the narrow gate and in the difficult way as you have done. May God raise up men who will follow what the Lord Himself has told us in our preaching even as you have given us an excellent example and use such preaching that many would truly be saved!

      Great Sermon!
What a alarming sermon. I believe that what the church needs now more then ever is self confronting challenging preaching to test our selfs to see if we are in the faith. Away with all the feel good sermons being preached today. There is no sense in making people feel secure when they are not. They that proclaim the word of God are not to make men and women feel comfortable but to challenge them to see if Jesus Christ is there Lord and Savior. AMEN for pastor Thomas Smith. I intend to listen to the rest of the series and I recommend it to others as well.

      Passion in Preaching
There is a missing note of passion in preaching in our day. In this sermon, starting at the 36 minutes and 5 second marker, is an example of earnest expostulation, such pathos - it has often brought tears to my eyes as I have heard it. I am going from memory, but if I am correct - and this was some 20 years ago that I heard it, Pastor Tom said in a later message that of a congregation of over 400 persons who heard these messages, 60 asked for counsel as a result of this series. Anyway, I know it has been used by God and must be heard again.

      Great Sermons!
Thanks for adding these!I will never forget when I heard these sermons for the first time. I was living in New York City and was attending the church where Al Martin pastors, in N.J. A friend, from Brooklyn, handed me the sermon series as a set after he had heard them on Family Radio. At the time, 1985, I was fragile spiritually, lacking assurance of salvation. But I did not regret the bold preaching. In fact I have listened to the eight tapes over and over since then. Seldom have I heard such passion in delivering the burden of a pastor's heart as Pastor Tom does in this sermons. They would have to be on my list of all time favorite messages.
