Mt. Zion Baptist Church is an old fashioned Bible believing Church located in the rolling hills of southern Pennsylvania. Many locals call MZBC their home Church. The Church itself has been in existence for over 50 years. We take a strong stand on the Bible being the sole authority for life and practice. We actively seek to evangelize our local area and to support many foreign missionaries.

Chris Starr grew up in Northwest Ohio in a preacher’s home. He was saved at the age of 9, and was called to preach during his years at Bible College. Chris has a B.A. in Pastoral Theology and a M.A. in Biblical Studies. He met his wife Jenny at college and they enjoy raising their 3 children. He has served as the assistant pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brogue, PA for 14 years before becoming the senior pastor in September, 2013. Presently the church averages around 280 in attendance. Mt. Zion is an old-fashioned, independent, Baptist Church that exalts the Savior, emphasizes Biblical preaching, and . His burden is to see God get glory in the church and to take heed to himself and to all the flock.
