I never understood what “I’m dead to sin” meant. I never comprehended the beauty of what “I’m alive to Christ” expressed. I thought it was a command, something I should strive for, something I should gain thru time and the Christian walk. I have learned that these are promises of God of my real, practical, effectual spiritual, current condition and are a “done deal” reality that gives me a starting point, not a future goal. What a wonderful position we have in Christ! My old man was crucified with Christ and when he “speaks” anymore, or demands dominion, it is a lie. A lie can no more keep my in its bondage, than a spider web can ensnare a horse! In the same way, someone who is in Christ has his abiding power, if they believe God keeps his promises. Thank you for your clear teaching!

This sermon has one incredible message after another. I have “stumbled” upon this speaker and have listened to dozens of his sermons. Each one is more powerful than the last! Thank you for your clear, engaging, convicting, practical and illustrative preaching of God’s Holy Word! I am so blessed by your ability to present the beauty and glory of our God! This entire series is refreshment for the soul and humble communion with the LORD!

Yes Phil I was richly blessed early this morning as I listened to your message. It was thought provoking and so inline with my own study of the Scriptures over many years. I felt absolutely one with you in your understanding of the times in which we live and so heartening to see how wonderfully the Lord has worked in and through you and increased the numbers gradually but also I am sure they have grown spiritually under such a rich ministry. You certainly have spent much time in the scriptures and in prayer. Oh Lord rend the heavens and come down we pray. Your church needs it urgently. Will be praying for you and your flock.

In the Spring of 2003 I bought a riding lawnmower. My husband had passed away the previous December. I was talking to him saying "look David what I bought." At that moment the side blew out of the engine of the lawnmower. It was God who gave me the money for that mower. I learned a very valuable lesson that day. All comes from God! The company gave me a new mower but it was God who worked out that detail. God also has a great sense of humor.
