Is Calvary Chapel a denomination?
The short answer is no. There are numerous Calvary Chapels around the world, but each one is autonomous. We fellowship as a Calvary Chapel because of common ministry goals, common ministry styles, our agreement with the Calvary Distinctives. Calvary Chapel does not have central governance, each church is governed locally by Pastors and Elders.
